"Almost 15 years ago, I left my first career to pursue my passion, returned to school, and began photographing professionally soon thereafter. After shooting a variety of portraiture, travel stories, and corporate photography including annual reports, I re-discovered a love of buildings, architecture, and planned spaces. It seemed that every trip I took, every job I loved most, every image I found most compelling, nearly always involved interesting physical structures, the light that permeates them, and the spaces that surround them.
Since that realization, I’ve been a shelter, landscape design, and architectural photographer photographing the spaces where we live, work, and play. While my final images have a variety of uses — marketing the talents of an architect or land designer, advertising the final project and accompanying lifestyle for a developer, or featuring the space in an editorial spread — my greatest satisfaction comes from showcasing the finished vision that architects, designers, and developers have imagined and planned for months on end.
Whether photographing a modest residential remodel or private garden, a large public sculpture park, or a luxury boutique hotel, my goal remains the same — to work with the project’s designers and marketing professionals to create the images that they need most to market their talents and their finished projects. Thanks for your interest in Subtle Light Photography and I hope we’ll be working together soon on your next photography project."
